Day 2: (Ab)normal days

Realizing that she and Jason were two of the last few people still upstairs, Claire nodded and made for the elevator, which was just rising back up to the fifth floor.

"Right then. Let's head for the ground floor. Or rather, I believe it's the ground floor. I suppose there's no way to tell in here really."

"I thought you and Jason or Judas were in your rooms, so I was waiting for you," she laughed sheepishly.

"Sounds good to me! But why not just leave the towel in the laundry room or something?"

Miranda walked over to the fruit section of the kitchen, plucking an orange and starting to peel it. "Alright, thanks," She said, sitting on the counter.

Jason quickly jogged after her to catch up to her pace, falling silent.

"I don't think we can even tell if its night or day too..." he said, trailing off as he hailed the elevator.

"Deal," Jordan said to Aris, pulling out drawers one by one. She eventually came across Dakota and her mess.

"Did you find what you were looking for?" Jordan asked, trying to shoo her off the counter with a subtle hand motion, to get to the drawer underneath her.

Ruby's eyes scanned the various boxes splayed out in front of her. She hadn't even heard of most of this stuff. She settled on a box of Apple Jacks and poured it into a bowl. It took her a moment to realize Dakota and the jack were eating their cereal dry.

A few minutes later, Ruby found herself in the kitchen along with nearly half the mansion. Among all the ruckus, she managed to squeeze herself between Dark and the fridge door and pull out some milk.

As she stood back up, she noticed Jordan perusing the cabinets.

"Hey, Jor. Didn' mean to run off. Ya need help findin' somethin'?"

Jason raised his head and looked around, eyes frantic. He had moved his chair from what his memory last recalled but was in the dining room. He sputtered gibberish as he shook, realizing that people were still here, and - in sitting up straighter - Antoine was gone, somehow.

"D-did t-time pass? Must've." he mumbled. He looked around and noticed people with...what looked like breakfast foods, and put it together. He peered down at the ground, frowning at the fact that Judas apparently hadn't brought their bag with him.

"Stupid little..." he shook his head, standing up. He looked over at the busy kitchen and innately knew he wasn't hungry. "...brat stuffed me with gross food again, didn't he."

He sat back down and slammed his head against the dining room table with a loud groan. This was going to be a long day.

Dark grunted. "My pleasure." He grabbed a spoon from the silverware section and hopped onto the island to sit and eat his large cup of Jell-O. It was blueberry flavored, and he seemed to like it well enough.

Dakota didn't pause in her cereal eating to answer Jordan.

"Nope," was her response, "It was all gone." She stared down at the growing empty space in the bowl, grabbing the box of Cookie Crisp to remedy it.

Deciding there was too much of a crowd in the kitchen, Caleb decided to forgo his morning tea and walked back out into the Dining Room. He placed himself in his usual seat next to Jason. Caleb's eyebrow perked at Jason's unusually pale face. He probably already knew what had transpired.

Martin shuffled awkwardly, "Oh. I met Judas at the hot tub. Neither of us were in our rooms then..."

He looked a bit more strict, "No, no, I should go to my room since I'm up here anyway," He started walking forward, and stopped again, "If you don't mind waiting for me again..."

Cobalt began to make his way briskly down the hall. He wobbled a bit as he moved, but made it to the intersection, stopping at the first turn to wait for the two.

Rachel pranced on after Cobalt, watching him carefully as he walked. "Your cape is all fluttery. It's a real cape." She seemed surprised. "Does that thing get hot, or what? The suit, I mean."

Lisa waved him off.

"No, no, it's fine! I'll be here when you're ready!"

Miranda made short work of The orange. She looked back over, taking two apples. "Crap... Why didn't I invest in a coat... Or at least pockets?" She said, biting into one of the apples. She looked back over at Dark, gauging to see if she had to return an apple.

Claire shrugged. "I... I'd assume that our circadian rhythm hasn't been thrown off after only a day of confinement, but you could be right. Anyway..." She pushed the elevator button and lowered the two of them to the first floor.

Cobalt looked at his suit for a minute before responding.

"This? No, it's made of a fairly thin material for maximum maneuverability! Though I will admit, the gloves can be a bit uncomfortable at times."

Jaden followed closely after Rachel, until the three of them were at the center of the floor. Then he made the left and was at the Dining Room. He decided to wait for the other two to catch up before going inside.

"I heard it only starts to affect you after a week or so." Jason said, shrugging as he stepped in and waited for the elevator to open again.

He looked up at Caleb with a look of true despair in his eyes.

"Younger brothers are the worst people in existence. And I have the ultimate curse of sharing a body with my younger brother."

He got up weakly. "I need water. M'throats so dry from whatever he stuffed down my throat. Idiot." He grumbled as he walked into the kitchen.

Jordan shrugged, "Oh well." Giving up on subtle gestures, she moved Dakota's leg out of the way and pulled out the drawer.

"Found it," she said, pulling out a knife and turning to Aris, "Find any coffee yet?"

"Oh, I'm looking for coffee and muffins," She said to Ruby, "...Apple Jacks?" She looked at her cereal.

Cobalt ran ahead to catch up to Jaden then yelled back down the hall.

"Come on Ms. Kuva! It would be a shame to arrive with nothing left!"

Aha. So coffee was what Jordan was looking for. Ruby set her milk down on the table before getting on her knees to check the lower cabinets. She found bags of various things like beans and flour but there didn't seem to be any coffee. She dug in further, stretching her back and managed to pull out a tin of ground coffee.

"Jor, will this do?" Ruby called out, holding up the metal container.

Aris was motivated by coffee, so she actually did make an effort to find some beans. She furiously scoured every shelf, throwing things out on some occasions to find her quarry before Claire. Again, once she found it, she held it up, yelling that she found the coffee.

Though a look of disappointment crossed her face.

"I'm coming, I'm coming! Calm down!" She yelled at the level normal people would yell at. She walked into the dining room and grinned. "Alright, I'll...I'll meet up with you all after I have achieved food paradise."

She ran into the kitchen with the look of a hunter on her face.
