Day 3: Abnormal Days

"No better way to start they day than with a nice, nutritional breakfast!  Everyone, hit the Dining Room, pronto!  I'll be waiting.~"  The trill to his voice meant only one thing for the students: Despair.

The students all reluctantly gathered in the Dining Room.   It was peaceful.  Quiet.  After a quick cursory search of the room, they found the source of Monobear's glee.

Chairs had been felled.   Felled by Dark.  He laid on the ground, face up.   He looked like he almost could have simply fallen asleep, save the gruesome slash across his neck, staining his bandana with his blood.  To his side, his bracelet had fallen, traced with blood, and his signature lilacs, pot stained as well, mourned his death.

"D-dark?" Miranda's eyes went wide, pure shock in her voice.

She shoved anyone in her way, kneeling down next to him. Her hand hovered above the wound. "كنت أعرف أنك ليوم واحد، والآن كنت ذهبت." She said, her voice almost a pure monotone. She head whipped back, rage in her eyes.

"Who decided this was a good idea?" She yelled, standing up.

Lisa remained near Martin and Jason. She couldn't see well over the crowd of peers.

"What's going on? What happened?" she cried.

Jason was standing at the entrance to the dining room next to Lisa and Martin. His eyes nearly bugging out of his skull. Tentatively and instinctively, he took a few steps back.

"No." he was muttering under his breath, repeating the single syllable word over and over again. "No."

Jaden couldn't even look at his fallen classmate. "C-come on, Miranda. It's obviously the bear's doing." He didn't sound convinced as he spoke. "None of us are like that. We wouldn't..." Jaden's voice trailed off and his face contorted in disgust.

Aris grumbled as she went down, trying to straighten her jacket and pants that she had to hastily put on.

"The hell you all are..." She hissed under her breath as she shoved students out of the way. Miranda blocked most of the body, but Aris immediately could see the blood and what had happened.

"BYE." She turned and made her way out, stumbling before she slid down the hallway's wall.

When Jordan entered the room she was already silent. Her mouth opened slightly to let out a gasp at the discovery of the body, then shut again like a sealed safe.

She backed away a bit from the gathering crowd, closing her eyes and lowering her head. Her tense lips quivered.

Claire froze up when she saw Dark's body. She was stiff as a statue, looking like a deer in headlights; unable to run, or react to what was happening. "W-why... Why are you all so stupid," she whispered.

"The bear would make us watch if he did it. This is obviously someone else." She looked at Jaden, a frosty glare in her eyes.

"To think someone would choose murder due to their selfishness... Humanity surely is petty." She mumbled, looking back at Dark.

Caleb couldn't see very well in front of everyone else. The rank stench of blood told the story well enough, but he had to hop up and down a few times to survey the victim.

Upon the sight of Dark sprawled out on the floor, Caleb instinctively clapped his fingers to his mouth, his icy eyes widening.

"Oh my..." he finally breathed out. "Isn't this is an ironic twist of fate?"

Martin stood at Lisa and Jason's side, still rubbing the sleep from his eyes.

"What's the deal-" He stopped himself. Of course he knew what this would be, Martin wished he had shut his mouth sooner.

"Damn it!" He marched over to Dark's body, then recoiled back, realizing just what he was getting into. This was way too much.
"Holy...holy sh..." He covered his mouth, heading back towards Lisa and Jason.

Rachel was knocked to the side as Aris made quite the exit, forced to open her eyes and look at the scene before her. She looked at Dark in frozen horror.

"Why the fuck would anyone..." she near-growled under her breath.

Jason had followed Caleb downstairs, clearly nervous. The crowd of people at the door didn't help. he shivered.

"Caleb, please tell me its not what I'm thinking." he croaked. His eyes were fixed on the ground, wide and somewhat teary now. "Wh-who is it?"

Cobalt stood at the very back of the pack, his eyes wide and unfocused. His gloves, cape and rear were stained with dried blood. All he could do was shake his head.

"It should have been me... why was it not me..." he squeaked.

Monobear strolled into the room, whistling.

"Good morning, good morning!" He cheered.

"Look, I know how excited you all are to convene and make merry, but I really think you all ought to check the kitchen!" He continued past them, into the room.

"Thank you." Miranda spat at the bear, quickly going into the kitchen, ignoring anyone that might try to stop her or call out to her.

Lisa wheeled back and forth anxiously.

"What's going on? D...did somebody...die?"

As Jason took a shaky breath, Judas lifted his head and, quickly taking in the sight before him, glared at the bear.

"Hey, guess what buddy? Fuck off!" he said in just as cheery of a tone, slowly making his way to the kitchen.

Caleb could practically feel Jason shaking behind him. He had grown used to the feeling by now.

"Alas, our dear acquaintance Dark Nak...nak...Dark. Is with the good Lord now. Rest in peace, Mr. Dark. I scarcely knew ye."

Minerva rubbed her head, looking at the wall in front of her. "Ow." She stated, looking behind her.

"D-did someone die?" She said, trying to call out to those still at the door.

Martin gave Monobear the most disgusted raised eyebrow he could make.
"Another surprise? Fan. Tas. Tic." He looked down at the floor, clenching his fists. He could barely make out Lisa's voice.

"...Yes." Martin hesitated, he tried to find a better way of saying it, but instead his voice became hoarse.
"Someone was murdered." He gave a glare at Caleb's theatrics, shaking his head and rubbing his temples.

Jason nodded softly, clutching the sides of his arms before hiving a shaky, nervous laugh. "God, I was expecting him to kill someone... not the other... way... around." He said, his voice squeaking slightly.

As soon as he heard Minerva's voice, he looked at her. He nodded sharply.

Lisa sighed.

"So it's begun, then."

Head low, she maneuvered carefully around Dark and into the Kitchen.

"And this is only Act One," Caleb added. He glanced at Minerva before gesturing to the kitchen.

"Shall we be on our way?"
