Day 1: Introduction

Miranda was very happy to successfully remove not only the motherboard, but the RAM, Harddrive, and related BUSes. She had everything she needed to run this computer when she wanted. Granted, with another computer. But in this day and age? "They better have one," She chuckled, going to the desk to make a small envelope out of paper and tape, expertly stashing the parts in clean baggies, labelled with a stray hi-liter.

And off to the bathroom she went. Anything in here?

"I wouldn't have it any other way!" Patrick said, significantly more calm and ready to meet with the others. He walked over to the door and opened it for everyone. "After you, guys."

"Campy? Oh come on, there's nothing better than watching a fully grown man with RIPPED abs telling you to turn around and drop your weapon," He gave the smarmiest smile manageable, before dropping it. "Not that I'm gay or anything."

He looked back over to the documentary, complete with mantis vore. Wow.

"Ok, let's agree to not have praying mantises at anything larger than the size of a small stick. Ok, after that... I can do the comedy. I'll have you flat on your ass choking for breath, dammit. You thought that standup guy was funny? Well, I'll leave him in the dust with my amazing skills at situational humor. I promise no more than five dick jokes."

"...family, a downer?" She smiled sadly.  "If that's what you think, I should introduce you to my dads when we get out of here. It doesn't have to be!"

Jaden groaned audibly. "Nooooo way. Those two can figure it out for themselves and take care of each other. I am finding a way out of here now." He looked back down at his map, tapping his foot in agitation.

"Has anyone even tried going out through the vestibule yet? 'Cause we should."

The bathroom's normal. Soaps and shampoos have clearly been used, and there's a slight toothpaste mark on the mirror.

Dark nodded and without a word made his way back out in the hall and towards the kitchen. This time it was his turn to hold the door open. "After you, friend."

Jake crossed his arms. Of all the fucking times to not have his cigarettes...

"I hate to say it but if we're dealing with corpses, then the freezer up here is pretty suspect."

"Pffft, don't worry Avery. I know you're hilarious," she snorted. "But, while that stuff's cool, it's just not really what I like to write. When the players feel weak, they're obligated to use more than just brute strength to solve conflicts, and that's what makes interesting storytelling."

"Of course, it's not always about good storytelling. I'm all about... watching He-Man too."

"That's... we haven't!" Cobalt perked up. "How foolish! We may be able to just walk out!" He took off down the hall without a second thought.

Isaac followed the group, folding his arms across his chest while he wasn't using them.

It was a little awkward following everyone into this guy's room- Shit, he still didn't even know everyone's names.

"No ideas from me, but at least we might not get killed up here." Isaac paused and then repeated, "might not."
He looked at Jacob, trying and failing to read his lips, and then Claire, "...What's pretty boy's name?"

"Oh?...sure, yeah. That'd sounds nice." He smiled at the thought and at the sudden invitation. "Is it just you three, then? No siblings?"

Miranda opened the cabinets. There had to be something-anything! "If I was a decapitated butler, where would I hide my password..."

She wrinkled her nose a second later, "If it's his underwear I'm gonna freak."

Antoine nodded to Dark as he left, taking note of Jacob's group as he approached the door to the kitchen.

"Yo, you guys find anything interesting? All we got was a speedo."

Jordan looked shocked as Cobalt ran off towards the vestibule. She was surprised he even knew what a vestibule was.

"Wait, hold up, let's not split up yet!" She said, jogging after Cobalt, "Stay safe guys," She said to Martin and Jaden before escaping from ear shot.

Kitchen


Note that the perishables are all fresh.

Judas looked at his bracelet and figured out the route to the elevator and staircase junction. Stepping out of the room, he motioned for the new little gang to follow him.

"Yup, let's go. I'll even take it slow and walk so that you three can keep up."

There was a tiny smile on his face, his blunt personality returning to him.

All the bathroom cabinet held was a toothbrush, squished up toothpaste bottle, and some over the counter medication.

"Yup, just us. Well, my one dad's coworker is like an aunt to me. She comes to hang out a lot." She adjusted herself to better look at Jason.

"I, uh, get it might be a weird subject- feel free to drop it- but what about you?"

As they made their way down the hall, Claire made sure to turn to Isaac and sign without speaking. "Jake. Why, do you want him? If yes I'll leave him to you." She had a mischievous look in her eyes, as if she forgot there was a recent murder on the floor below.

When they ran into Antoine and Dark, Claire waved at them. "Oh, great. More boys! Just what we needed."

Lux grinned at Judas from behind their box.

"By the way, Judas! Skateboarding? Fucking siiiick. Ya gotta show me how to do that sometime. Every trick ya teach me, I'll show ya how to play your favorite song on the guitar." Their trademark toothy grin returned as they stepped off the elevator into the hallway.

Cobalt skidded to a stop in the vestibule, waiting for Jordan to catch up.

"I'm gonna try the door, okay?"

As the group walked to the dorm hallway, Patrick approached Jason McDorne's room. He bit his lower lip and paused for a second.

"Do you think I should bother him, or...? I don't see Isaac nearby, so..." he said.

He closed his eyes for a moment and recalled the altercation that happened in the dining room and decided it was best to not.

"Never mind," he sighed, placing a bag of veggie straws at Jason's dorm. "Jason, I left you a bag of veggie straws if you get hungry. You don't have to come out now..." he said, knocking on his door.

Dark grimaced as the other group of students joined up with them. He glanced at Antoine for a moment then made his way into the kitchen to look around, ignoring the newcomers.

Immediately he noticed the knife rack and, hoping no one would see, grabbed one. He slid the handle into his belt loop, using his overcoat to hide it.

He grinned right back at Lux, walking backwards through the hallway so that he could look back at them.

"That so? Well, you find a board in here, and I'll show you a trick or two. Though I'll have you know I already know how to play my favorite song." Strumming an air guitar with a shiteating grin on his face, he very, very crappily sung along to his imaginary beat. "You're my wondeeeerwaaaaaaaall..."

His shitty performance was cut short by Patrick's selfless act. "I'm sure he'll appreciate that, Pat."
