Day 1: Introduction

Tears started to race down Patrick's face.

"C-can we not make this any worse? Please?" his voice quivered. "I-i don't know," he started repeating. "I g-g-guess it's your loss i-i-if you want to be..." Patrick needed to breathe. "Alone."

Something about the thought of another student, even if they were attacking a classmate, being alone and possibly murdered made his face visibly blue.

She nodded, serious all of a sudden. "Yeah, yeah. Security's super important. If you can't protect the people you're sports-entertaining, you shouldn't be in the business. Thankfully, the primary people in danger - uh, the stars, that is - are generally really goddamn good at what they do. And they know the dangers. So ... it's usually fine."

Antoine stepped into the laundry room, leaving the door open for Dark.

"This might sound mean for a second, but just gimme a sec. You're not as scary as you look." He cocked a smile in return. "Sorry if I, uh, made you uncomfortable there."

Lux laid their head back and stared up at the ceiling for a few moments in rare silence.

"Speakin' of protection...you think it's weird?" they asked Rachel. "This whole thing?" They made a grand sweeping gesture at nothing in particular.

Claire copied Jake's suggestion of going upstairs to Isaac. "I think they're fine, they're just... I don't know, hungry?" She was trying her best to sign and talk at the same time. "We should go look at these rooms we all have," she continued, pointing at the dorms on her little map.

"Ready?"

He backed up as soon as Jason starts retaliating, choking from the small-scale attack. One hand on his neck and one in the air, he stares at Jason, wincing. "Got it. Sorry."

Patrick's words were heard, but the liar didn't make any moves to answer them verbally.

"The...bomb?" Martin repeated to himself. "Yeah. No. Understandable, completely." Martin said, looking at Jaden, a bit embarrassed about his behavior earlier.

But he saw his opportunity to lead the way once more, "Yes, The Butler's Room!" He said, marching forwards, then pausing to let Jaden walk beside him. "Some people just don't take anything seriously, I think." They we fast approaching Jordan and Cobalt when he repeated once again under his breath, "The bomb..."

Jason leaned against the hallway wall, resting his head against it and closing his eyes. He took another deep breath, then opened his eyes and smiled weakly.

"So ... wheelchair racing, right?"

"L-let's just go already. I want to take my mind off of this," Patrick stated. He eyed towards the door and tried to loosen himself up. "So, let's meet Claire and Isaac and everyone else up a-at the dorms upstairs."

He slowly paced towards the door and turned to Judas, not wanting to leave first.

Cobalt startled a bit when he saw Martin and Jaden.

"Thank goodness! We were just about to start looking for everyone. Please don't panic, but-" he turned his head to see the door to the Butler's Room for a half second, then looked back at them.

"We've... discovered a body."

The first check: was the computer able to be taken easily?

After that, time to scrounge around the bookshelf and bed. The covers, pillow, and under the bed. The books were flipped through for secret compartments or papers stuck in them. Someone was thorough, and her named started with M and ended in -iranda.

Dark's smile faded as quickly as it came. "I very scary. I am Super..." He grumbled a bit while trying to remember the words preceding his title. "Xara. Assassin. I am assassin. Scary, right?" He gave Antoine a smirk before stepping into the laundry room. "You will see."

She looked around at the room chock-full of boxes of miscellaneous things surrounding them. "Yeah, it is. It feels really ... fake? Like I got trapped in a plotline or something. This kind of stuff ... randomly waking up in a big fancy mansion stocked with Monster and Cosmic Brownies ... doesn't happen to normal people."

The computer is a desktop.

There is nothing of note in the room. The books are normal, the bed is clearly slept in, but normal. Any items simply indicate that the occupant lived a normal life and took their job as a butler seriously.

Jaden stopped in his tracks when they ran into Cobalt. "A body? You can't be real right now, kid. Like c'mon, that's not a funny game." He crossed his arms and looked down at him, raising an eyebrow.

"Where your parents at, anyway? Shouldn't you be in middle school?"

"Uh, yeah! Super scary! Super High School Level Scary!" He paused, swallowing nervously.

"And um, I don't know if I want to see, thanks though."

The punky brat nods and made his way over to Patrick, eventually walking out the door behind him. There was still a hand on his throat, massaging the place Jason jabbed at.

"Yeah," he said, voice hoarse, "Let's go. Hope they have water."

Isaac watched in horror as Jason retaliated against Judas, relaxing when he saw Judas didn't escalate it.
Still didn't seem very okay.

"Hungry? Sure. Let's go with that. Anyway, let's get out before anyone dies." Isaac nodded at Claire's map and sped-walked towards the door, heading out to the door closest to the Garden.

"I skipped a few gra- that's not important!" He clenched his fists at his sides, taking a few steadying breaths before throwing a hand over his chest.

"Besides, as a superhero I protect people! Lying about something like this wouldn't do anything like that!" His lip quivered a little bit on his last remark.

Jason needed a while to calm down, skittering towards a corner and using the wall to steady himself as he tried to time his breath. His breaths were shaky and uneven, and it was clear he was going to need some time, almost sounding like he was sobbing.

As Patrick walked through the threshold, his face lit up at the sight of Rachel and Lux.

"G-g-guys, are you OK!?" he squealed.

He started scouring the boxes in the room for something healthy, but his vision was getting blurry. "And... I... need something to eat. Anything."

He glanced up and saw the cosmic brownies. They were disgusting, but...

"Can I-I-I have some?"

As if Martin wasn't already close to flipping out. Even with Cobalt's reasoning, Martin wasn't about to believe it.

"A what?" He said, looking down at Cobalt, "You have got to be kidding, I'm not ready for another prankster!" He turned to Jaden and then Jordan, "He's kidding, right?"

Lisa nodded.

"Mhm." She lifted her head, wiping a tear away from her eye. "And... Jack of All Trades? How do you get recognized for something like that?"

"Boring, boring, triple boring..." Miranda put her hands on her hips, puffing her cheeks out, only to exhale slowly through her nose.

She went back over to the computer, though. "Can't risk one of these idiots erasing it..." She mused, making sure to turn the computer off properly and remove all wires from the tower. If she couldn't easily open it, then... Into the wall it flew!

Jake walked with Claire and Isaac in tow to the elevator, pushing the button to take them upstairs. As they ascended, he tapped his foot mindlessly, trying to avoid looking at Isaac. How was he supposed to talk to someone who couldn't hear him?

Ding. The doors opened and he stepped out, looking back at Claire.

"You care which room it is?"
