Chapter 2: (Ab)Normal Days

Jason looked at Cobalt and shook his head. "I don't think they'd want to see us sittin around, doing nothing. That bear's tryin to make us all fall into despair or something, right? If we started doing what that bear wants us to do, we'd be giving in. So let's try and have some fun."

He continued to search around the shelf. He pulled out a copy of Just Dance and waved it around. "Found one, Cobalt!"

Josh glanced awkwardly at Lisa before getting up.

"I'll just flip through the booklet, you guys got to it first," he said, reaching for the box.

Lisa waved him off.

"Pa-lease, I can get around a game of Just Dance just fine!" she laughs.

"Really, though, I don't care. Just know I will wipe the floor with you all in any racing game."

"Sounds as good a plan as any," Claire said, then went for the door. "I'm gonna miss the nail polish though." She stepped out into the hallway and looked around to see if anyone was there, then started towards the lounge.

"We can always return for more, after all, we've only got so many nails to paint, right?" Jordan smiled, walking behind Claire, turning to look for Ruby.

Miranda was silent for a few seconds, but then she laughed.

"You... do not realize that McDorne is terribly afraid of anything involving bodily harm? He faints, remember? He is also extremely skittish. Likely, he doesn't want to both your from fear of being too clingy, or is simply seeking time away to deal with what is occurring."

"He's the only one I mostly have a profile of, mainly because he seems to wear his emotions on his sleeve."

"The Swedish always have time for a sauna," Ruby replied, flipping her hair to the best of her ability. She proceeded behind Jordan.

He handed the kid the box but frowned. "Hey, you're the one who asked about dancing games. There's four controllers, so you can play. I don't care who got to it first. Come on!"

Josh shook his head.

"I can always play this on my own," he said, walking over to one of the swivel chairs.

"But he always - " Caleb started to speak before shutting his mouth. There were some things Miranda didn't need to know.

"Then we shall reconvene past twilight to further discuss our situation," he affirmed. With that, he turned out of the gardens and made his way to one of the sitting rooms.

Jaden seemed enthusiastic. "I have got to teach you how to dance, Aris," he said. Then he pointed at Martin. "You too! You're not getting outta this. Sometime tomorrow. Dancing lessons. It'll be awesome!"

Looking at the map intently, Jordan walked past Claire into the Lounge.

Miranda gave a polite curtsy to Caleb.

"Then I shall meet you then, bearing the gift of the fruit of knowledge."

Without further ado, Miranda turned and fluidly existed the arboretum, entering the hall to look for a poor victim.

"Me?" Martin considered it, "I don't know, I just...don't have any "groove"."
The last thing he needed was to embarrass himself any further.

"I'll....see about it."

Aris gave a grin.

"Hell yeah! Let's do it! First thing after breakfast? Like, at 10 am?"

Lisa wheeled closer to the Wii.

"I don't care what, but are we playing the Wii or staring at the Wii?"

Jason looked over at Josh for a few seconds, then shrugged and turned to the Wii.

"Playing, duh. I wanna see just how good you are at Mario Kart."

He put the disc in and booted it up. It worked like a charm.

Lisa arched an eyebrow, smirking.

"Pass the WiiWheel."

Each of the student's bracelets buzzed as Monobear's face filled the screen. He tapped on the screen a few times, then began to speak. "Hey, brats! We're going to have a bit of an early dinner tonight! But I'm a tired bear and I don't want to wait for you all to wander into the dining room, so we're going to have a little lounge party!"

"I've brought the food, so I hope to see all of you in the second floor lounge in the next few minutes. Attendance is mandatory! See you there, upupupupupu!"

He passed one to her and took one for himself, picking out two player and getting to the character select screen. He picked koopa troopa and - and then his bracelet blared at him. He sighed and listened to the announcement.

He sadly turned off the Wii and turned to Lisa. "You can beat the crap out of me later."

Jaden watched the announcement on his wrist, frowning all the while. "Welp, that's that. But yeah, 10 in the morning tomorrow! Dancing lessons!" He clenched a fist in excitement. "This'll be sweet!"

Josh sighed, putting the box down next to the monitor.

"I'm gonna head over, I guess. See you two there."

He left, hugging his arms to his chest.

Jason though he'd faint again when the bracelet turned on. God. Slowly, he stood up from where he curled himself up at Caleb's door after he woke up.

he practically ran to the elevator, slamming the button a good few times.

With a sigh Lisa tucked the wheel into her pouch.

"I am gonna beat that bear with that wheel."
