Day 3: Abnormal Days

Minerva walked towards the playwright and jeweler. "I suppose so," She said, trying to look inside.

"And I can see why Aris ran out and into a wall. That's brutal." She whispered, almost to herself.

Ruby froze in horror as soon as she saw the body. She knew what the bear had said. She had pondered this back and forth a million times. And as much as she wanted to believe it couldn't happen, it did.

One of her classmates had murdered Dark.

She felt cotton stuff up in her throat as she reeled back, nearly falling to the floor. All around her, the ceiling spun and spun, like she was on a merry-go-round. She could only faint make out the blurred lines of Minerva and two other guys walking to the kitchen.

"M...miner...help...can't walk..."

Rachel looked at Caleb, a pained look on her face. "You seem pretty fucking chipper about all of this. Pretty unaffected."

She walked around the Dark-less side of the table, and headed into the kitchen, her entire body tense from fear of what could be on the other side of the door.

Jason looked straight to Caleb, nodding. "Yeah, just... uh..."

Minerva was a godsend. "Maybe you can go into the kitchen first? I have a feeling its not gonna be good."

He was content to be in the back.

Jordan's head flinched up at the sound of Monobear's voice, and her eyes seemed to come back into focus.

"What a...headache." She sighed, reluctantly following Monobear's directions and walking into the kitchen, keeping her gaze straight ahead as to avoid the sight of Dark's dead body.

Jaden gazed around the room as the others started making their way to the kitchen. A look of horror fell over his face as he glanced at each of his students. "Oh, fuck, no... Where's...?"

Cobalt followed into the kitchen, a shell of the once vivacious boy.

Minerva froze when she heard Ruby's voice, turning around. "Are you o-" She started, but she quickly caught the other before she fell, holding her up with one hand and hopping to grab a chair with another.

She put the chair so it faced a wall, putting Ruby in it. "You alright?" She said, looking at the group by the kitchen.

The Dining Room had only been the beginning.  Laying before the fridge was a direct continuation of the morning's horrors.

Miranda let loose a tired sigh.

"نكح" She hissed, shaking her head, going closer to inspect Dakota's body.

Ruby wiped her nose, not even caring about the snot running down her hand as she started to cry.

"I don't...I don't wanna go in...," she blubbered, tears dripping down the red plastic in front of her face.

Claire stood at the back of the group, peering into the kitchen. She had a pained expression as she saw Dakota's body. "Two victims..." she muttered. "That's just sadistic..."

Once again, Caleb poked his head out around shoulders and waists just to see Dakota lying by the fridge.

"My, my. Sadistic indeed," he agreed.

"Martin...or Judas... or someone. I can't get in there. Just tell me straight up, is someone else dead too?"

Minerva could hear the whispers and comments coming from the kitchen now.

"I don't think I want to either." She admitted, sitting down next to the chair to stare at the wall. "Its probably my duty, but I think everyone's gonna be too crazy to even..."

Ruby took a few deep breaths. She was still sobbing a bit.

"So wha' happens now? Monobear got his bodies."

He closed his eyes after realizing who it was, shaking ever so slightly. He turned to Lisa.

"Dakota, i-it's Dakota." his voice cracked on her name the second time he said it.

Cobalt stood to the side of the doorway, his empty eyes focused on the floor.

Jason started to physically tremble as he heard the comments. "Yep. Yep. No." He started to shake his head violently, the smell of blood in the room making him gag once. He trudged over to Minerva and Ruby, collapsing onto the floor.

"I'm gonna be sick." He admitted.

Miranda noticed she was the only one in front of the body.

She looked at the other students. "Well, either it was two people or one person. Dark looks like he struggled, but Dakota..."

She trailed off, fingers tapping her teeth.

Rachel looked down at Dakota and took in a deep breath before squeezing her eyes shut and walking out as quickly as she went in. She spotted Ruby's impressive mess of tears and sobs and stared for a second. She then shook her head and, looking around again, spotted Cobalt. A mixed look of fear, worry and horror flew across her face as she walked over to him.

"Cobalt, what - what - a-are you okay? Y-you're covered in - wait, is that...C-Cobalt?"

Martin snorted, realizing he had no choice but to listen to the bear. Otherwise, well, he looked at Dark. He muttered, "Listening to that bear. Some leader."

As soon as he stepped into the kitchen, his suspicions were confirmed; another surprise. "Damn it!" His voice became unusually high pitched, "Who was this!?" Of course they wouldn't answer.

Then he noticed the blood on Cobalt.
"W-Wo-Wai-" Martin approached him like he would a snake, and tapped the boy's cape.
"You've...got something...there..." He glared at him, expecting an explanation. Dreading one explanation in particular.

Cobalt shifted his head up slowly, looking to Martin quickly, and then Rachel.  He opened his mouth to respond to them, but all that came were sobs.  Finally, he managed to get a single sentence out.

"Y...you forgot your bow, Ms. Kuva..."

"I don't know, Ruby." Miranda admitted, looking over as Jason stumbled towards her.

"Let's go out of here." She said quickly, offering a hand to Jason before looking at Ruby. "I don't think all of us would be good staying here."

Monobear ignored the ongoing conversations and strode over next to Dakota's body.  He took a deep bow before addressing the students.

"And now, I'd like to officially welcome you all to the Manor of Mutual Killing!  It's supposed to really be just you guys sleuthing and voting for the death-sentenced party, but since this is your first time, I'll give you all a run-down!"

He bent down by Dakota and plucked up her bracelet.

"No one really bothered to check with the comedian, so I'll show you the bracelets' nifty feature now.  An autopsy report!"

The display showed the following:

He dropped the bracelet unceremoniously to the floor.

"You'll find something similar next to our not-so-Super-High-School-Level-Assassin, and you can access these on your handy-dandy bracelets too!  These are just basic, though.  You guys need to find evidence before our trial.  After all, you wouldn't want to get the wrong person executed, right?  Good luck!"

He vanished from sight, his "Upupu," echoing through the still room.
