"Jordan, you're going to find that AD&D is cruel and unforgiving compared to 3.5. But, you'll like how I do it. Trust me." Ariel gave what seemed to be the most evil smirk. "Now, I'd recommend that as a Half-Elf you consider dual-classing to wizard or fighter, or even dual-class as all three. Being able to dual class is the only advantage you get over humans."
"Now, newbies, let me think for a sec..."
She first looked at Martin. "I see yourself as a Ranger - a guardian of the natural world. If you don't make the rolls for it I'll just fix your stats up to meet the minimum."
"And, Lux... Being a wizard in this sort of game usually requires some, er, how do you say... Tact? You only get one or two spells a day at first, you're not going to run around and burn everything you see. I would think a fighter is more your type, but if you really need that magical affinity perhaps you can dual-class as well."
