Day 2: (Ab)normal Days

Isaac's fake smile twitched into a real one as he saw Lisa trace the letters on her hand. He appreciated it.
"Hi Lisa," He wrote on his sketchbook, using a fairly nice writing style - one he'd use for pinstriping.

He turned to Jacob and shivered a bit. Oh, the Butler's room. "Fuck." He signed, knowing he had taught Jacob the sign the night prior. He assumed he wouldn't forget that one.

Antoine followed, grabbing an apple as he passed the door.

"Here," he tossed it over to Dark.

"If... if it'll help us figure things out, sure. Uh," She began to write out on her hand before shaking her head.  "That'll take forever."  Instead she made a writing gesture and tilted her head toward Isacc, hand outstretched.

Claire found herself left out in the kitchen. "Thank God I'm alone. And yet..." She pondered her options for a moment. "Oh, fuck it."

She made her way out of the kitchen and caught up with the others heading to the Library.

Isaac pulled out a sheet and handed Lisa the pencil. He had also brought a pen with him so it was quite fine.
While the sketchbook was open he added, "I'll go. It's freaky but I'll go"

Jason shot Claire a weird look. Was he really that invisible. "Thanks..." he drawled.

Well, she was outta here. He still had to eat.

Jaden watched as the rest of the students filtered out. There weren't many still in the kitchen. He meandered around the kitchen then settled next to Jason McDorne. "So uh... Watcha eatin'?"

Rachel laughed and skipped Judas, Lux, herself, and Claire following behind their skipping line, all the way down to the library.

Jason, still in the kitchen, idly peeks in the fridge to see if there's anything worth eating in there. His eyes narrow as he judges all of the various contents, but light up as he reaches in and grabs a bottled strawberry banana smoothie. Yummy... after he gets his drinky, he ... awkwardly ... settles near Jason McDorne and Jaden. Yeah!

Lisa took the page with a smile and wrote out the gist of what she just told Jake, with a note of "This is what I was just saying to Jacob." After giving him a moment to read she wrote while speaking to Jacob.

"I can't help but wonder, though... will we even find anything? I mean, he was probably dead before we woke up, right? If the killer's the person who trapped us here, they would've had all the time they wanted to clean up evidence..."

Jake shrugged and wrote his own note back as best as we could.

"Monobear said we could explore, so we might as well. Better than standing around scratching our heads." He paused for a moment, and quickly wrote down another question:

"Isaac, what do you remember about the body?"

Ariel walked through the threshold of the library, grinning as she turned her head back to see all the students following her lead.

"Now, let's see," she began, counting the people as they walked into the library. "There's 10 of us, so the easiest way for us to split this would be 2 groups of 5. We could also try 3 groups of about 3, but I'm worried that's far too few people."

She opened up a spiral notebook she had in her arms. "Now, we're going to need everyone's input, so if you have a better suggestion I'm all ears."

Jason gave a soft sigh as he finished up his food. Brant sitting down next to him didn't really phase him. Jason simply looked over to him, considered, and then finally spoke up to him. "Wanna raid the storage room? I wanna see if I can have my hands occupied... It's gonna be boring if I can't make anything, yannow?"

"I like the 5 people plan better - we're going to need someone to be taking notes on everything that happens during their shift, and if we have only three people at once, that's going to be a big distraction."

Patrick trembled a little. "I'd like to be the person taking notes... on the first shift, though."

Dark made a quick motion and caught the apple deftly. He stared at it for a moment before shoving it in his coat pocket for later. "Thank you Antoine."

He thought about where to go with this time after breakfast. "What is billiard room? We can go there," he suggested.

"It's a room with pool tables and darts." He considered his words for a moment. "Games. And sounds good." Antoine waited, allowing Dark to take the lead.

"I dunno about him but I'm down!" Jaden piped up. "Could always use some nice new things. Maybe there'll be something cool like video games, or a chainsaw!"

"Just kidding, hopefully no chainsaw. A regular saw would be just fine for hackin at people, I think." He made sawing motions with his arms and made sound effects with his mouth.

Isaac bit his lips, putting pen to sketchbook once again. This time he chose to do an amateur forensic sketch of what he remembered.

He drew in little arrows pointing to parts of the boy. On the suit he wrote "Blood. Reason 1 for why I freaked out.", another arrow pointing to the head said, "Freaky Bear Mask. Reason 2 why I freaked out. Hid lack of head."
He also highlighted a stab wound that was on the chest, "Looked kinda knife-y"

He also drew in a little Miranda poking the bear, "Fig. A: This bitch. She went right up to it and stuck her hand in."

He presented his work proudly, and he was pretty quick drawing it.

"Eeeeh ... two groups'a five sounds like it would work. Should the groups be of people that don't know each other too well? If it's two best pals on patrol together, they could just end up conspirin' together, you know?"

He shrugged. "Maybe I'm overthinking it."

Jake tapped his finger on his chin and wrote down some additional questions.

"What were they wearing? Did they seem like a student?" As an afterthought, he drew a checkmark by Isaac's forensic drawing. Then he opened the door to the Butler's Quarters.

Claire put her hands up dismissively. "I have no preference, other than not being paired with anyone who's already admitted they think we should be killing each other."

"I think that's pretty fair," she muttered.

Lisa nodded sagely at Isaac's analysis of Miranda before turning to Jacob.

"He looked like a young adult I think? Not to jump in, I mean, but I was there too. Didn't really internalize his attire, though. Too busy freaking out." She quickly scrawled out a recap note for Isaac.

"No, no, Judas. That's a fair point," Ariel nodded intently.

"Patrick, Cobalt, Lux, Jordan, Miranda, and Martin can take the earlier group. Claire, Judas, Rachel, Avery, and me can take the later shift."

When Claire spoke up, Ariel pursed her lips. "Look, it wasn't like that. There's no point in killing if we're all going to stay alive. If you really want to switch with anyone though I won't object."

"Other than that, if that's going to be our whole discussion then I think we're good to go."

"Why would you -- even just a normal saw seems a bit excessive, don't you think?!"

He sighed ... "I was just in the storage room, though ... there is a lot of random stuff there. So."

Jason gave a withering look to Jaden. "If you wanna reenact a C-list horror movie, be my guest. Just leave me outta it," He punctuated that with his fingers tapping the counter.

"Well, that's good I guess. What did you see when you went there?"
