Day 2: (Ab)normal Days

Martin marched into the library, quickly taking inventory of what he could use for note taking. Seems all he found were rainbow scratch pads and a stylus.

"Alright Ariel." He said, still sort of scowling at the girl. He didn't forget the stuff she said earlier, but was willing to cooperate for the sake of organization. "I've written it down, I can make a copy of the schedule for everyone" He grimaced a little as writing on the rainbow sheets was not the easiest method of note taking.

With a few sniffles Cobalt began to recompose himself.

"I can't just hide here. I gotta help. I'm the Super High School Level Superhero for crying out loud!" He pulled a pillow over his face.

"...what am I saying. This wasn't even my dream in the first place."

Rachel gave the group a solid thumbs up. "Sounds all good to me! We should end this meeting with one of those group chants!"

She stretched out her harm and held her hand out in the middle of the collected group. "Uh... on three we could all say like, 'TEAMWORK!' or something!"

Jaden threw his hands up defensively. "Just a joke, just a joke... Wrong crowd, I guess."

"No real point sitting around, let's take a look for ourselves, right?" He motioned for them all to start heading over. "We can talk about it on the way."

Jason shrugged and smiled weakly. "Sorry, hehe."

He followed Jaden out of the room and thought about ... Jason's question for a second. "Well, there were a lot of snacks in there ... I found a whole box of those Cosmic Brownies I always ate as a kid. It kind of just seems like it's filled with shelves of random stuff. In a good way, though!"

"Thanks, Martin," she said gently, as though she never insulted him the day before. "Saves me a few seconds."

Ariel placed her hand onto Rachel's, and grinned. "Come on, everyone!"

Dark, with Antoine in tow, made his way from the kitchen to the staircase and headed down. "This house is very strange... The... floor plan make no sense."

He glanced at the map as he walked to make sure he was going the right direction. "Kitchen should not be on floor two in house."

Lux put their hand down on top of Rachel's and Ariel's.

"Let's do this!"

Patrick reluctantly joined the mash of hands together.

Jason quickly darted to place his cup and spoon in the sink, then let a little water into the cup. He'd clean that later. He jogged to catch up, and just in time! There was a mention of cosmic brownies!

"Oh shit, I love those!" He piped up, "maybe we can have like, dessert? If there's food in there, I won't have to go out for a midnight snack, at least."

"Eeeh, why not. Germs be dammed!" He put his hand in too.

Monobear appeared before the group in the Butler's Quarters.

"HellllO diligent students! I won't be taking up too much of your time, promise! Just want to let you in on a little something." He yoinked the paper from Lisa's hand, given that she was closest to his level, and began writing while speaking.

"Our little friend's still here because you guys don't seem to get the mood yet. Seriously, you kids are all weirdly unfazed! Anyway, point is I'm not just gonna leave bodies around forever. So don't let that deter you from murder!"

He pushes the paper onto Isaac's stomach.

Claire was satisfied with Ariel's remarks about her earlier plan regarding the mutual killing. She daintily put one hand into the mix, the other resting apprehensively over her collarbone. "Let's do this, I suppose."

"Hey, I hear ya. Never been in a mansion before now, though, so maybe it's normal?" Antoine rounded the corner towards the Billiards Room.

Jordan looked serene finally being in a library. They had no qualm with Ariel's plan, she just seemed happy she would know someone in her group.

She put her hand on top of Claire's, "Good, now let's play Dungeons and Dragons."

"Glad I don't have to edit the schedule then," Martin said, also putting his hand on top of what now must be a tower of appendages.

"YEAH! Okay, okay, on three, okay?! One, two, three --"

She threw her hand up in the air.

"TEAMWORK!"

Jake was somewhere between rolling his eyes at Monobear and gagging at the smell of the body. Luckily, he was better at suppressing his gag reflex than his sarcasm. He slowly approached the body and began sifting through its pockets, doing his best to ignore the stiffening husk.

"Lisa, why don't you see what's in his dresser? And Isaac..." he gestured his head towards the bathroom. "Check there. I'll stay here with our friend."

Jaden quivered as they walked towards the pantry. "Eh, I dunno about cosmic brownies. Don't they taste a little too plasticy?" He shrugged. "Hopefully they have something a teeny bit healthier."

They reached the pantry soon enough, and Jaden held the door open. "After y'all."

Jacob found nothing in the pockets.

"Teamwork." Jordan said much more quietly, laughing a little as she brought her hand up.

"Here's to not murdering," she said, "That is the plan, right?"

Dark stepped into the Billiards room and looked around. "Pretty balls," he said, looking at the decorative shelves on the other side. His attention shifted to the pool tables and cue sticks. "Antoine, show me how play, please?"

After the group shouted in unison, Ariel sighed in relief. "Alright, well, if anyone wants to indulge themselves into fantasy roleplay, this is your cue."

"Martin, you really should stay... I think it, uh, might be a good idea."

Ariel then checked her watch to see how long Avery was going to take from now.

"Teamwork," Claire said softly. In a more mock innocent tone, "And to learning to love each others' quirks." She smiled. "We'll certainly need to if this is intended to work."

Antoine perked up. "Yeah, sure." He walked over to the cues and pulled two down, tossing one over to Dark.

"So these are the cues. We use 'em to try and get the balls in the pockets. Over here," he picked up one of the chalk cubes, "is the chalk. You're supposed to, like, use it on the tip of the cue. But honestly? Never really got what it was for."
