Day 2: (Ab)normal days

Lisa stirred in her chair, glaring at the bracelet. She raised her arms behind her head and stretched, then arched her back as much as she could. With a deft motion she unlocked her chair, opened her door, and rolled into the hallway.

Caleb did not like being woken up. He liked it considerably less with the bear's grating voice piercing his ears at 7 in the morning. His eyes narrowed at the bracelet flashing the mascot's image and he let out a low growl as he dragged himself out of bed.

Well, if he was up now, he may as well get some breakfast.

He shuffled into his clothes, making sure his cravat was straight despite most everything else being wrinkled, collected his teacup and proceeded out of his room towards the elevator.

Claire was startled by the sudden shaking at her wrist, and tried to hold it down with her opposite hand. She rose from where she was sitting on the side of her bed and unsteadily made for the door and let herself out into the hallway.

Glancing around, Claire noticed Lisa rolling out of her room, but stayed still by her doorway.

Jason screamed when he heard his bracelet go off, fumbling with his bracelet as he frantically tried to turn the beeping off. He sighed, getting out of bed and quickly getting dressed. He looked at the mountain of furniture at his door.

Shet. This was gonna take a while.

Miranda rubbed her eyes as she steppped out of her room, covering her mouth with a hand as she yawned.

"Man... I should't stay up so late. I probably look like some old hag..." She said, looking around at all the other students coming outside. She tried her best to put on a cheery smile as she walked towards the elevator. She rubbed the sides of her arms, still about as painfully underclothed and cold as yesterday.

When his watch buzzed, Cobalt blinked a few times and straightened his posture. There were slight dark circles under his eyes, but otherwise he seemed about as energetic as before. He moved from the elevator's side and to a position where he could see the hall of the bedrooms.

"Good morning!" He called out to those who could hear.

Jordan uncrossed her legs, closing the book she was reading. The subject was a bit more morbid than what she was used to reading, but she was starting to expect as much from this school.

"Right then..." She mumbled to her bracelet, getting up and stretching. She started to make her way out of the Living Room, pulling up the map.

"HUAAAA!!" Ruby's arms jerked out as she shrieked at the sudden loud noise. Realizing it was only her bracelet, her heart slowed down but not by much. She clasped her chest and slowed her breathing, struggling to recall events from the night. As she tried to remind herself where she was, she noticed the chair perched askew to the door.

Oh yeah.

With a heavy sigh and a heavy heart, she slowly removed the chair from where it held the door shut and walked outside, not even bothering to fix her hair and makeup.

Rachel jolted up in her bed and quickly looked around the room, breathing shakily. She slowly turned to her mirror and deflated a bit as she only saw her reflection. Slowly she rose from her bed, completely missing whatever the bear had announced. She cleaned herself up quickly, and then walked out of her bedroom. She took a deep breath and put on her smile from earlier yesterday and headed towards the elevator.

Dark slowly woke up as Monobear's announcement droned on. "Idrukni..." he moaned, then rolled out of his bed.

After admiring his lilacs, Dark grabbed his overcoat from the floor, buttoned it up, and stepped out into the hallway, where others were already beginning to appear.

Caleb stepped into the elevator and did his best to give Cobalt a polite smile.

"Good morning, Mr. Cobalt. I trust you slept well?" he asked.

It took a good minute for Aris to finally hear the end of the morning announcement and wake up. She stumbled out of bed, taking half the sheets with her as she groped around the floor to find her pants and jacket. She put hr jacket on first, and proceeded to hop into her tight pants, opening the door at the same time. Hopefully the person across from her didn't get a clear view of her zipping her fly up.

"Morning!" She yelled, putting her hands on her hips.

Lisa waved sleepily to those in the hall as she worked over to the elevator, stopping outside.

"Guess I should wait for Jason and Judas and Martin," she yawned.

"There is no time for rest in the life of a vigilante! Though I hope you found your night as peaceful as this place allows," he exclaimed at a slightly lower volume than the day before.

Rachel was just lucky enough to have the room across from Aris, catching her exactly as she zipped her fly. It almost made her laugh a bit.

"G'mornin! Sleep well?" She said pleasantly, obviously trying to block out anything from earlier than this morning.

Miranda looked around the other people gathered at the elevator. She quickly darted into the elevator, muttering a quick "Excuse me," too both Cobalt and Caleb. She went back over to where she was yesterday- at the buttons.

Caleb nodded at Cobalt's words.

"More or less. I find it admirable that you are so dedicated to your profession, Mr. Cobalt."

Martin was about to answer with a riveting description of the joys of camping when his bracelet started vibrating, making a god awful sound in the hot tub's water. Martin jumped, it was clear the overall experience had done nothing to soothe his nerves.

"G-Good morning, jesus that's loud," Martin scowled, looking at his bracelet. He almost hoped submerging it in water would break the thing.
He turned to Judas, "Well, guess we should be doing something more productive," He got up, realizing he should probably change out of the monobear brand monospeedo he found before doing something more productive.

He hated this place.

"Just like your writing requires dedication, so does protecting the peace!" He pounded a fist against his chest.

"Eh, how much sleep can you get when you find up your double was up almost the whole damn night? I swear..." She growled, scratching the back of her head. "Think I got... Maybe... 5 hours? Not good at all."

Ruby trudged towards the elevator. She mumbled something of a hello to Aris and Rachel but otherwise didn't bother to wait for anyone she had spoken to the previous day. Tumbling into the elevator, she bumped into Miranda and muttered an apology.

Jaden was one of the last to leave his room, and as he did so he surveyed the hallway. He noticed Cobalt and Caleb, then shrugged and jogged over to them.

He was about to speak, but caught himself and just listened in on their conversation instead.

Jason tried his best to not make the pile of re-purposed furniture fall. It was almost funny how he manage to try barricading the door. A lamp cord was tied to the chair, which had another lamp cord caught in its wheels so it wouldn't roll. He untangled the doorlamp and put the trashcan back.

The chair... he picked that up and put it back. He wasn't going to mess with that. Besides, he'd probably needed it for tomorrow. Carefully, he poked his head out and after finding there were no murderers at his doorstep, closed the door behind him.

Though upset his questions were not humored, he couldn't help but laugh at Martin nearly jumping out of the hot tub in surprise in comparison to his own small twitch of confusion. He watched the announcement - something about it being morning even though he hadn't seen a way to see the sun in this mansion yet - and shrugged. Whatever.

He looked at Martin again. "Attempting to relax isn't productive?" He said sadly. "I GUESS you're right." He got his legs out of the hot tub and rubbed them as they started getting cold in the normal air - he looked back at Martin's doused body and snickered inwardly - and once they were toweled and dried, he put his shoes and socks back on.

"Have fun being productive. I'm goin' on an adventure to find cool shit. Bye."

With that, he walked out, wandering towards the Sitting Room.
