Day 1: Introduction

There is no trace of a head.

Jaden couldn't help but laugh at Avery's comment. "I don't know how well screamo translates to piano. If you try it let me know how it goes. I usually stick to classical shit, but I can take most songs and work somethin' out." He finished up the song.

"I'd do "Fly Me to the Moon," but maybe we should keep at lookin' around? There's not much here I guess."

Lux strummed their guitar and began to sing in a gritty but powerful voice:

"Hey, hey mama, said the way you move,
Gonna make you sweat, gonna make you groove..."

Before shredding out a couple of E and A chords with master precision. Their eyes were locked forward as they belted out the next bunch of lyrics. Page and Plant would have been proud.

"I'm not going crazy!" Martin snapped, "I'm surprisingly sane for someone apparently in a bolted-up room!"

He stared at Avery, "I don't think screamo would really help the sanity thing either."

"I say we leave too," Martin said, glad he had Jaden in all of this, "The Library sounds the most promising."

"Yeah, Jason feel free to stick around with us. I think after this we'll go to the dining hall - I could really use an apple."

"And, Claire, I'd like to think that I'm a perfectly fine communicator!" he huffed.

"Dining hall? Oh, but what time is it. I'd hate to like, eat junk before dinner. My mom would chew my ear off for that..."

He sighed, "Where's the time on the watch?"

Jake tilted his head at Judas. Something about him seemed off but he gave him a smile nonetheless.

"You'll have to tell me more about it later. If we ever find out where the hell our stuff is, I'd love to follow you on Insta."

"Pfft, Jason, Jason, Jason... The developers want to remind you that life is extremely inconvenient and that you're a prisoner here at this class retreat!" Patrick chided. "Something as simple as displaying the time on a watch? Absurd!"

Patrick cleared his throat and looked at the rest of the group. "Are we ready to go? I'd love to come back later but I could really go for a snack right now."

Rachel watched in certifiable awe as Lux tore up heaven, hell, and every plane of existence in between inside that booth. Utterly fixated on the magic happening in front of her, she sat back with her hands on her head, smiling and laughing.

"YEAAAAH!"

She couldn't help it - she needed to scream!

Isaac watched, disgusted, as Miranda stuck her hand into a headless corpse. Sure, he was hardcore, but this was Too Much. Isaac was now pretty convinced that Miranda might even be the one responsible, having not heard her comments. Not that those would've mattered, her actions were fucked up regardless.

He tried to back out as quietly as he could, abandoning the 8 ball and booking it as soon as his foot touched the edge of the hallway.
Where to go? He had to find someone.
The Banquet hall was the closest, he ducked in.

There is nothing inside the wound save what should be inside a body.

Lisa rolled along after Cobalt, turning her head to watch if the others would follow.

"Sure, sure. I can't promise I'll follow back every hapless fan though." He winked his bad eye, the sarcastic tone of his voice coming through in full force.

Turning over to Patrick, he nodded. "Sure. Sounds good. Snack time it is."

"Oh, it can't be more than a few hours-" She looked up, and Isaac was gone. Oh dear.

"So there is a murderer here!" She hummed, "One of us must've been pretending to sleep, if it was one of us... Or it could be some boogieman!" She laughed, standing back up again, monobear head in arm.

"What's the best way to break to a bunch of kids there's a dead body... 'There's a dead body!'> 'Look, blood?'" She sighed.

Claire raised her hands in defense. "Hey, I'm sure you're very good at getting your point across in a design context. Nothing wrong with a little social awkwardness."

"In true model fashion, I'll go where I'm told. If we want to go to the Banquet Hall I have no objections."

"Figures!" Jason looked a bit glum, "I'll go with you guys, no worries! Just... I might not eat much..."

He was ready to follow Patrick and co, though.

Jordan walked along the hallway with Cobalt and Lisa, going slowly to make sure anyone else with them could catch up.
"So, got any sidekicks?" Jordan said, trying to make short conversation.

Jake kept his smile plastered to his face before letting out an amused snort and regrouping with Claire, Patrick, and McDorne.

"Sure, whatever."

After five solid minutes of shredding, Lux finally shed their guitar and placed it back in the storage before padding back over to Rachel. Their hair was a bit more undone than usual, and their face was noticeably redder.

"Whew! That was a damn good practice sesh!" they laughed. "Ya got any instruments to play? Or should we see what else is around?"

Ignoring Antoine's defense of his outer wear, Dark nodded. "Elevator fine. Let's go." He turned around and headed out of the Banquet Hall. He saw Patrick's group coming towards them from the garden.

Dark didn't say anything but stared at the others as they walked his way.

"Don't worry, Jason, there's always a healthy option if you're looking for it," Patrick grinned.

"In retrospect, we really should have gone to the banquet hall first. Would have been a shorter walk..."

"Library sounds boring- I dunno if it even has magazines or whatever." Avery gave a shrug.

"There's a Billiard room! We could play around with that! Maybe do jousting."

"Jousting sounds fun," Ariel said. "But I was hoping to see what kinds of books they had there. If there's no computers there then reading's the next best thing."

"It's not about how exciting it is, the library might actually have information about this place." Martin growled at Avery, "At least it might be more helpful than...jousting?" he furrowed his brow, "How do you even propose we do that, you think they have horses here?"
